Top 5 innovative building materials we dont know about

The world is developing at a very fast pace and we can now  see things that until years ago we thought were impossible. Technologies are so advanced that we can now witness almost everything.

Today we will tell you about 5 innovative building materials that in the future would greatly facilitate construction and repair activities, and perhaps even replace the standard ones we use today.
1. Glowing cement

A similar material has already been tested, which practically absorbs daylight and then has the property of radiating it. Glowing cement is produced by the so-called “polycondensation” process, using river sand, water, industrial waste and other materials. If you are wondering why, then the first reason for creating such an element is to save energy and take care of the Planet.
2. Bricks that purify the air

Yes, bricks that absorb pollution. Like purification devices, breathing bricks take in polluted air, then filter it and return it back purified.
The idea is from Carmen Trudell, who has already developed and tested the innovation. Purifying bricks are placed on the exterior walls of the building, and the interior walls are covered with standard insulation.
And this is how the purification itself is done – in the center of each brick is a filtration system that separates heavy particles from the air into a container. Thus, already collected dirt can be easily thrown away - similar to a vacuum cleaner.

3. Self-healing concrete

Created by the Dutch civil engineer Dr. Schlagen. The method works by heating and can restore a broken element.
Here's how it works: Schlagen demonstrated his discovery by breaking a piece of the material into two smaller pieces, then taping the pieces together and heating them in a microwave oven. Thus, the high temperature melts and brings together the pieces.
The idea of the creator of the self-healing concrete is to use it to create roads and highways. And to put it into practice, scientists even created a special roller that heats the road by induction, so that the cracks in the road are filled. This, in turn, could save his country 90 million euros each year.

4. Habito flats

Habito partition walls have several times higher resistance to physical and mechanical actions. They are developed according to innovative technology, which guarantees exceptional strength, impact resistance and easy work with other materials.
Heavy objects up to 15 kg can be mounted on them, using only a standard wood screw and without pre-drilling.

5. Martian concrete

The world is already developing concrete to be used on Mars as well. Special concrete does not require a drop of water to create the mixture. Instead, liquid sulfur (preheated to 240oC) is needed, which is mixed with Martian soil in a 1:1 ratio.

The World does not stop developing and even surprising us with the discoveries and inventions of mankind. We've brought you some of the innovations and advancements in the construction industry, and of course there's more to come.

We don't know when they'll all be mainstream, but you can be sure that when it comes to construction equipment and machinery, you can count on Stroyrent.
